ISRO finally allows people to watch Rocket launches

# ISRO has built viewing gallery like a stadium which can accommodate around 5000 people.

# The gallery facing the two launchpads will give a clear line of sight of the rocket and its launch.






NEW DELHI: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has finally opened its door to people who wish to watch rocket launches from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, an Island in Andhara Pradesh.

PSLV-C45 is taking DRDO payload emissat and 28 foreigners on Monday. The satellite will be the first launch that the viewer can see on the island of the space agency, which is 100km north of Chennai. In order to open it's high-secutiry launch facility for people for free is on the lines of NASA, which too allows people in the US to watch its space activities including Rocket Launches.





ISRO Chairman K Sivan said: "The new stadium set up on the island can accommodate 5000 people. but for precautionary measure, we will allows only 1000 people from monday's launch. The gallery is located 2-3 KM from the launchpad and give clear view of PSLV and GLSV launches."
